Finding your true north is a crucial step toward authentic leadership. You need to be true to yourself and what you believe in before you can empower others to do the same.

As a future law enforcer, doing the right thing involves upholding the law, protecting the public, and treating everyone with respect and dignity. I have to enforce the law and ensure that justice is served. This means I must act following the law and not use my position to abuse my power or engage in unethical behavior. Additionally protecting the public and maintaining public safety is also one of my concerns. Responding to emergencies, preventing and detecting crime, and working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure community safety. Law enforcement officers must also respect the rights of individuals, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or other characteristics. This includes treating all individuals fairly and impartially and avoiding discrimination or bias. I am also expected to maintain a high level of professionalism in my conduct and demeanor, demonstrating integrity, honesty, and accountability in my actions, and avoiding any behavior that could undermine public trust in law enforcement.

In summary, PBGEN PABLO GACAYAN LABRA II emphasized to us that we must maintain in living the values being taught in the academy and not to give up in times of obstacles that might try to undermine our confidence in work and organization. Instead, he urged us to keep doing what is right, uphold the law, protect the public, respect individual rights, and maintain professionalism at all times in order to defend the nation and serve the Filipino people.
